Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever Based on Population Density and Rainfall

Abstract

BackGround : Need information about the association of population density and rainfall in Jambi City considering geographically Jambi region lies on the equator which gener-ally has high rainfall and the rapid change of land into residential areas in the city of Jambi. For that it needs to be investigated whether there is a relationship of population density and rainfall to high DHF patients in the city of Jambi. This research is expected to provide data and information that can increase efforts to prevent and overcome den-gue fever in the city of Jambi.
Methode : The observational survey was conducted to find out the distribution of DHF patients based on population density and rainfall
Conclusion : The results showed that there was no correlation between DHF incidence and population density in a sub-district. The correlation proved that the density relation-ship with DHF incidence was weak with Correlation Coefficient = 0,142 and not signifi-cant with p value 0,678. Between rainfall with DHF incidence no significant relationship with p value of 0.623
