Background: One of the uses of health services is Posyandu.1 The benefits of posyandu for toddlers include seeing good nutritional status or poor nutrition.1 According to WHO in 2018 the standard of nutritional status of Indonesian children is still poor, which is below 10% .2 To prevent malnutrition in Indonesia namely monitoring nutrition status through Posyandu. Toddler's mother is the main role holder of the role in improving nutritional and health status.3 In Jambi Province there has been a decrease in the number of posyandu. In 2015 there were 3,326 posyandu and 340 independent posyandu. In 2016 there were 3,319 posyandu and 324 independent ones. decreased by 0.21% and 4.70% . Data from the health office of the city of Jambi has 460 posyandu. In 2015 jambi city had 58,012 toddlers who were aged 0-59 months who were reported to posyandu only 22,623 (38.99%) , in 2016 the target number of 52,934 children reported by Posyadu was 28,731 (54.3%). From the data above shows that the coverage indicator in Jambi city has not reached a predetermined 70%. In 2016, the lowest target was the Puskesmas Paal Merah II, Jambi City, out of 1207 toodler weighed only 465 (36.95%). in 2017 there were 2281 toodler but only 1,196 toodler were reported to the posyandu. In January to March 2018 there are 525 toddlers visiting the posyandu Methods: This research is quantitative analytical using a cross sectional approach, aiming to determine the factors that affect mothers of children under five in the utilization of Posyandu in the working area of the Jambi City Paal Merah II Health Center in 2018. The target of this research is mothers who have children from 0-59 months and who live in the work area of the Paal Merah II Health Center in Jambi City, as many as 525 people in January to April 2018, Sampling using a simple random sampling technique.The study was conducted at the Paal Merah II Health Center, Jambi City. The number of samples is 81 mothers toodler. Data collection was carried out in July 2018. Data analysis was carried out by univariate analysis presented in tabular and textual form, bivariate analysis was carried out by Chi-Square test.


Results: 43 respondents (53.1%) did not use Posyandu. Knowledge of mothers toodler with low criteria of 42 people (51.85%).40 people (49.38%) Poor attitude. Bivariate analysis using Chi-Square Test revealed that p-value knowledge was 0.02, p-value of attitudes mothers toodler was 0.005, p-value of officers was 0.01 and p-value cadre was 0.002Conclusion: There is a relationship between the knowledge of mothers toodler, the attitudes of mothers toodler, the role of health workers and the role of cadres in the use of posyandu.
